BMC Filter or not?

Anyone out there using the BMC filter on their Nevada Classic or Breva?

Worth the expense?
More induction noise? If so, good or bad?

Only experience I've had was with K&N's on the old LeMans.

Thanks.

Chris

Chris,
You've got a sharp eye to notice that BMC makes a performance filter for the smallblock. I haven't tried it, but it has some merit. To appreciated the gains you also have to alter the fueling at the same time. The Lambda sensor does that for low-mid range rpms. It's capacity is limited, so if you start running too many mods (pipes, filter, etc) you'll outstrip the the adjustment range.

It's do-able, but easier on older carb bikes. I'm doing multiple mods myself, but I invested in an aftermarket ECU ( MyECU from Australia) that allows for virtually unlimited adjustments.

Give the filter a shot, and let me know. I'm curious about it too.

Joe -

Think I'm going to just start e-mailing you direct!
Thanks again for the help.

I have the Mistral crossover on order from MG. Should be here in a couple of weeks.
Figured I'd start there and will keep you posted.

Chris

I have a BMC in a 2004 Breva. Only believe there was a slight improvement and if there was it was it only near the max rpm range. When I did the change the FBF slipons were already installed along with a PC III. Is worth the money, I'd say most money for the least return on performance.
