So I put 40k wonderful miles on my 2003 BMW R1150 GS and last year I sold it for a 2016 Audace. 11k miles later I love this bike. There were some trade offs going from an adventure bike to a cruiser. First is the forward pegs and different suspension. Im 63 years old, 6'4" and 220lbs, so the GS fit me like a glove and handled any terrain. The Audace being a completely different animal is amazing in the twisties and very comfortable for my typical 3 hour rides in the Catskill mountains of NY. Forget about hitting a pothole or road bump, I have been bounced 6" off my seat and it's not fun when I can't lift my bass off the seat. So I'm wondering will the Stelvio possibly offer the best of both worlds? That wonderful transverse V-Twin motor in an adventure chassis! Any thoughts or comparisons are welcome. Thanks!
