Damn - One thing after another for us unexperienced. I converted my triple clamp to eliminate the bars on my G5. Fit Tarozzi 70 mm rise clip ons. After no response from Fred at Yoyodyne to the quesiton about fit issues, I impulsively ordered a rectangular clutch master cylinder. (I got the brake MC earlier thrown in with my Brembo 4 pot calipers).
Both the brake and clutch master cylinders interfere with the Tarozzi clip on bar holder. I need to move the reservoir about 1/8" away from the bar (see pink arrow in photo). Grinding won't do enough unless I'm prepared to go through the reservoir window which would be a messy affair.
Surely others have plowed this row before. Is there a simple way out? Should I return the MC's for a different version, fabricate an adapter, or what? I recognize others may have a preference for the remote reservoir MC's for performance and fit reasons, but I'd rather had my heart set on these...
