Hi, my Breva's wheels are badly corroded so I'm taking them off to get them powdercoated. On taking the front off I noticed that there is a screw on each spoke that looks like it holds a plate on the wheel, however when I tried to remove these none would budge, not even with impact driver.

I'n not certain whether the wheel is supposed to be able to be disassembled or not, does anyone know? I'm concerned that if I cannot get it stripped down to its component parts the powdercoating will miss areas and corrosion will creep back in...

Thanks in advance for any advice you can give.

Are you talking about the brake disc when you refer to a plate on the wheel?

Download and look at the parts break down. You can get the parts manual in the Downloads section.

No, the wheel itself appears to be made of several parts, however the parts fiche doesn't show them as separate i.e. the cast wheel is just one bit. I will post up a picture at the weekend to illustrate...

Yaeh;
I've noticed that.
They are made by Grimeca who's manufacturing a lot of low-budget parts for the motorcycle industry. I don't know whether the spokes are possible to demount or not, but if they are not, I really doubt the low-budget price is so low that you really want to find out, if they are not demountable... :dry:
According to he parts manual the wheels comes in one piece.
