Just out of curiosity;
I've found the right pipe to be shorter than the left. Well, I found out years ago. I also got a bushing that fits on the pipe, making it nearly tight to the muffler. I know that others got the same experience. My guess as good as any, is that this is caused by a lot of equal long left- and right pipes.
Does this still appear :?:
Only out of curiosity, as said.

One pipe is longer than the other because the cylinders are offset. The long pipe is attached to the cylinder that is further forward, the left one. That is so crossover and mufflers will line up.

Yeah, that's the good idea. But it isn't so on my Breva. I was wandering if that's common. :huh:
The crossover line up well - but the mufflers don't.

Holt,

That is strange. The mufflers seem to line up OK on our 2004 750 Breva. At least I haven't noticed them to be out of line.

Thanks;

That confirms my suspicions, that there is only one lot of exhaust pipes that have this issue. I remember a bloke in Germany who described the same thing, so I'm not the only one. May have affected '03 Brevas only?
It's not a real problem, but a pain to get the muffler/headpipe assembly on the right side really tight, which may have som influence on the motor balancing. The muffler cannot easily, as you know, be moved forward.

Maybe I should look for a right side pipe from a Breva being parted out.
