'04 750 Breva EFI Light comes on & goes off periodically and engine sort of drags at constant throttle. When you go to accelerate it has a jump in RPM's. Has been doing this since battery went dead. I recharged battery and problem started. Has anybody had such a problem with their Breva that may be able to help me.

Replaced bat. no change, I found bent hose under gas tank ,I think vent, no good either. bike is runing good ,Can you tell me how to clear light codes or can you clear them.

Light codes? What light codes?
The Breva doesn't display any codes, AFAK.

Which is it, no change or bike running good? Do you have access to VDSTS or Axone?

Hay guys new to efi @ guzzi bikes thought I read about codes somewhere. bike is runing good right now, fixed bent hose under tank could light just be bad,and no I don't have computer software to check with, just trying to think it out I miss carbs.DB.

I had the EFI light come on my 2007 750. It turned out to be a backed out pin on the Lambda connector.

Have power commander on bike and has box that bypasses lambda, don't think box is problem it was working fine befor
bat. went dead and little green light still comes on when bike starts. I took bat. off bike for 24 hr. and see what happens.
I will let you know when I run bike this time.

I have a PwrCmdr on a 2004 Breva 750. A year after I had the PwrCmdr installed the EFI light would come on after about 15 minutes. Turned out to be a bad O2 emulator. It was replaced under warranty no issues since. When mine went bad I was having battery issues.

Thanks for the post Russ, first time I've heard about anything like this. Good to know.

Russ this sounds just like mine,is the 02 emulator that little black box with green light,I think we are talking about the same thing, would like to make sure befor calling factory.
thanks DB.

Yes, the O2 emulator is the box with green light. As I said mine failed the season after I had the PwrCmdr installed. My EFI light came on about 10 minutes after riding. The bike still ran fine but I believe I had the new battery at the time. My understanding is the stock computer does not look for the O2 sensor until it warms up. This box tells the computer the O2 sensor is working and is at the same level this way it does not try adjust the settings which would screw-up the PwrCmdr. When you use the PwrCmdr you are running open loop from the O2 sensor which is basically what carb'd bikes use to do. I developed a problem later at 3,500 to 4,000 RPM where the bike would surge & loose power. The dealer remaped it and it would not go away. It stopped after running it wide open (throttle against the stop) in fourth gear after it started to act up on three consecutive occasions. Explained this to the dealer and they said maybe something had to be reset based on the throttle sensor. This is why most likely the dealer did not see it on the dyno because they would go to full open throttle occasionally.

Russ thanks for info.my bike runs fine so I think I will let it go for right now and see what happens.

DB.
