Breva - Norge factory saddle bag comparison

I'm wondering if the painted Norge version of the Aprilia saddle bags do better than the similar black bags sold for the Breva. My Breva lids seem to be warped, not sure, because the front and rear mating edges don't seem to fully seat allowing a bit of water to get in. I noticed the Norge has an extra latch at the rear. Seems one would be needed front and rear.

Can't vouch for the breva bags you speak of but I have the Norge bags on my 1200. I think the problem really comes down to not enough pressure at the main latch.. They probably fit just about as well as the breva bags from the sound of it, but they do look nice :D My bags leak when I wash it, but not had an issue when riding in the rain. Then again the latch pooling issue could have been the reason for water getting in when I washed them.

My shad luggage on my SV sealed much better but didn't look as nice...
 
In another thread there is a report of redesigned rubber seals for the Norge bags that in at least the report of the poster completely solved his leaking problem.
 
My 2006 Breva bag covers are also warped. I think they are just cheaply made and do not have enough support to the outer edges. I'll have to make sure that I keep the contents in plastic bags on my next trip.
