G'day all,
I have a 2005 BREVA 1100ST with windscreen.
I have experimented with the various angles on the mounting but none would eliminate the helmet buffeting.
As a further trial I slit 6mm ID clear tubing (called beverage tube in Oz) and mounted it on the top and partway down the sides of the screen.
This seems to have cured the buffeting, so much so that I now hear a "whistle" that wasn't there before.
Aha I thought, from the addition to the screen, but, I found that it only occurred when the motor is under load.
I think it may be the primary gears as it doesn't change with gear selection but with engine revs.
I suspect that I can now hear it because my head is now in still air.

Photo attached.
Cheers
Brian

G'day Roblatt
The piping is slit and placed over the edge of the screen, and down the sides for a bit. Two holes drilled and small tyraps used to secure it (placing the lock part inside the screen).

Cheers

G'day Roblatt

The beverage tubing is available at hardware shops, e.g. Mitre 10, Bunnings. Quite cheap, in 1 Metre length multiples.
The screen is polycarbonate (Lexan) and so will not crack when drilling, but use a small drill first at low speed.
Cheers
