Might pay to check, the light frame on the 1200 sport fairing.
Some time ago (around the 20,000 k mark ) cleaning bugs off the fairing I noticed the “light frame was loose”, removing the fairing I found that the plastic welds holding it to the fairing had cracked, causing it to vibrate- Luckily all welds hadn’t broken. Hopefully you can make this out in the attached pic.
Rather than worry about claiming on warranty I ended up using glue over the welds as well as black silicone around the frame to fix it to the fairing. Another 20000k’s have been clocked up since the repair and there has been no further problem, I’d suggest the silicone is helping absorb some of the vibration, and taking the stress of the glued weld’s.
Another thing I noticed when the fairing was removed ,was that the lugs, which the screws, that hold the fairing to the mounting frame/windshield support, screw into, where also cracked. Looks like they were never drilled out enough to house the “nuts” at installation, so out with the Selley’s Plastic glue again. Refer to the picture below you’ll understand what I’m trying to say.
Don’t know if any one else had had this issue, but once again it might be worth checking, as I’m sure a bit of time , glue & silicon are a lot cheaper than a new fairing. [file]
