I had my alternator rotor rebuilt last summer but kept the old brushes because of time constraints. Now I'm trying to replace the brushes. The brush holder is held on by nuts on the reverse side of the stator. These nuts are nearly impossible to get at, so I'm wondering how much wear is acceptable before they need to be replaced. Trying to get out of some work... Anyone know of an off the shelf wrench that works here? Otherwise I'd have to make a custom tool.
