Anyone ever have an issue with a burnt\melted lightbulb connector? I went to replace what I thought was a bad bulb over the weekend and the bulb ended up being ok but the connector was badly burnt and one of the wires had seperated\melted all the way through. I purchased a replacement connector at autozone--do you think I should replace the bulb as well even though it looks good or could the bulb be the culprit for damaging the connector in the first place?

I haven't had this specifically on a Stelvio (don't have a Stelvio), but I have had it on other vehicles.

Make sure there has not been a short somewhere due to rubbing wires and then replace the pigtail. I would replace the bulb at the same time.

In many cases that I've heard about, this can be due to people installing higher wattage bulbs in an attempt to get a brighter headlight but in my Miata I never installed a higher wattage bulb.

Which bulb connector? Be sure you have a good ground path for the bulb. A poor ground can generate heat melting the connector.

When you are sitting on the bike it's the light on the right--is that the light that does high beam? And FYI--the bulb is OEM\stock.

Definitely suspect a poor ground. Please make sure the ground path for that bulb is good.
