New 2014 Cali Touring on Tourismo. Noticing an off idle stumble and choppiness until 2500 or so RPM Then it smoothens out and accelerates hard Is this normal?? It only has 70 kms I will mention it at it's 1k maintenance Hopefully they will be able to remap it.

I'm assuming nobody else has had this problem? Maybe I just need to change the way I come away from stops. Idiosyncrasy of the bike maybe??

Your 1k checkup may help but what you really have is emission reduction leanness. Mine does it somewhat and I am hoping when I perform the "Stop the moaning whale" operation on it that it might help a little. Otherwise Todd is smiling as he sees another potential customer for his remapping. :)
I know performing the cannisterectomy on my Norge helped.

Thanks for the reply Abbienormal. I think it's a bit of me having to learn the 2 cylinder style. Coming off a 4cylinder sport tourer. Going to try just using different launch rpms, and modulating the twist of the grip a bit as I go. Was able to get a little smoother this morning, but when I'm going with traffic it's still a bit of a challenge. Once I figure out the launch technique, I'll feel more comfortable with bringing my wife on-board too.

You will find the slower you move your wrist, the better she goes. Smoothness (with all controls) is the key with big twins.

Thanks John. Never realized how different the 2 cylinders were! Gotta love the attention though! Two people this morning went out of their way to say how nice and give a thumbs up for the bike!!!
