Cali- Eldo USB Support Kit & Crash Bars

What does your multimeter or voltmeter say? If you don't have one, just connect a small 12v bulb between each of the terminals to determine which has the +12v. I think you'll find it is the green/yellow connector.

Did the USB include the connector with the colours switched as shown in your photo? This is connected wrong for a powered device as far as the colours are concerned. But I personally wouldn't proceed any further, and return to the dealer for a full refund or replacement.
The multimeter reads 11.8V with ignition on (without motor running) on the connector. The Blue is ground and Green is Power.

The USB did fire up after we switched the connections with the aid of some spare wire length but it came the way it is so yes you are right. It is going back for a full refund which the dealer has already generously offered. Plus it doesn't stow anywhere on the Eldo like it says on the installation instructions so no point replacing it.

Hi Uss,
Good to see another Eldo on here. Did you get the crash bars sorted? The bolts that come with the bars are slightly longer than the originals to allow for the thickness of the crash bar brackets. The 2 bolts replace the bolts behind the header pipes that bolt the sub frame to the main frame (that's 2 either side, 4 in total) you will probably need to support the sub frame/engine before you remove them to keep the holes aligned. The nut and bolt replaces the one through the oil cooler bracket, that's all there is to it.

John.

Thanks John, Haven't done the bars yet. Just been busy and don't have a torque wrench for the job. I have arranged to borrow one and will attempt it as soon as I get the wrench. I am awaiting the GT Risers to be delivered here in Melbourne which will require the torque wrench again so I will do both on the same day. Will post results as soon as it is done.

Finally.....sorted the bars. A friend came over and he had a torque wrench so we got to it. The whole thing went perfectly. We did support the engine/frame with a jack. I was quoted an hour or slightly more for this but 30 mins is all it took. I reckon a dealer ought to be able to do it in 20 tops! Now....just waiting for the GT Risers to arrive.
