California II by the sea....

Funny Gif,
SAD state of a motorcycle...

What do the cylinders look like ?
Even if No water was inside there will still have been humidity, its not going to be pretty !.
Can those be " Re-Sleved"
I watched a show where they machined out the old cylinders of some engine... and made new ones and pressed / sweated them in
( Anything can be done for $$$$$ - but is it practical - do you have Too much money )

You have quite the task in front of you. As DeadEye states, do check the condition of the engine interior. Especially the crank and camshaft. Soda blasting may bring the cast components back then treat with a sealant. As for the frame, I would make sure it is structurally sound before proceeding. You will have to replace many of the corroded components such as the rear brake rotor and possibly the calipers. In my opinion this bike may be beyond bring back to life as the cost to save her is far beyond the value of the restored bike.

Nigusil cylinders first introduced on this model. I'm truly amazed it was ticking over... Unfortunately, I think this is going to be a money pit but I hope it all works out for you in the very best way! You're a brave soul indeed.

For what I got from the previous owner, 15 years sit by the sea and another 5 in his garage... I will keep you updated... And asking questions...
