Hi gang

As you know I had a CARC oil seal failure 2k miles ago, I have been monitoring the bearings ever since.
They have got to stage were I thought them to be of MOT failure status.

Speedaway said bring it in and we will replace the bearings.

Prolem Mr P it appears that although there is play in the bearing that is not the full story :eek:hmy:
The CARC housing itself is showing some ware? It is on the small bearing side the apperture appears to be slightly oval and a burr has formed :eek:hmy:

We have ordered you a new CARC housing it will be here Monday next week.
Paggio have stated this IS the first one to ware this way and will sort it immediately.

I will keep you informed :)

OT a bit, but somewhat relevant.

IME the Italians have absolutely no idea when it comes to logistics.

We took delivery of a couple of machines yesterday that were delivered to us by air freight ex Malpensa in Milan. These things are about the same size as a Stelvio and were on a pallet surounded by a cardbaord box. But here is the rub, all the ancillary bits and pieces had been piled in on top of them and of course during a journey to the other side of the world and god knows how many fork lift drops, they had all vibrated against bits they shouldn't be vibrating against and caused axeactly the same type of damage as in your photos..

Disappointing to say the least, as it is so easily avoided.
