Message sent, and thanks for the tip on AF1! I'm looking through their website right now!

They should be M10 x 1.5 pitch, 30 mm length.

I know this because I lost them on one side of my 2009 Norge 1200GT 2 weeks ago in KY.

It was great watching Scott do depot-level maintenance at the side of the road in Philpot, Kentucky.

Heh, as opposed to a VERY POOR economy of scale for me...
GuzziTech started in 2001 with just $100 and a website dedicated to everything Moto Guzzi. 21 years later, the same owner has grown it into a 1600 square foot facility with 4 employees, and no other brands, outside of his own frame-up GTM customs based on the Guzzi CARC driveline.

Isn’t it amazing the photos they can fake with photoshop these days 😆

Give me a good hardware store and stand back! I can fabricate just about anything on the fly!

I even got the fine young man behind the counter to kindly cut down the bronze sleeve with a hacksaw for me, to form a makeshift bushing which is still working in the bike at this moment.

I'm so sorry! I screwed up. I had a Covid-19 test yesterday (my first one - I have had all the vaccines and boosters) as I think somebody brought it into my shop and gave it to me. So I feel crappy but I work by myself so I am still working.

I received the pieces for my Norge so I tossed her up on one of my lifts and put her back together but I decided to use RED Permanent Locktite to hold the bolt and receiver together as there is literally no reason to ever need to remove the centertand and I don't ever want it coming apart again unless I intentionally heat it up and remove it. I think the reason so many of these came apart is that unless you tighten the hell out of it, it is sure to come apart without the Locktite, however, when you tighten it up that tight, the stand does not move freely, even when packed with grease. Hence, the RED Locktite to keep the receiver and bolt together under just normal tightness so the stand moves freely.

Long story short, I forgot to take pictures of the 2 pieces, the inner receiver and the outer bushing. Brain fade...

Whomever did a previous "repair" tack welded a makeshift receiver to the support bracket. I had to grind it off and that is why the third photo has the silver raw metal showing. I just touched it up with some basic black spray paint.

They are fairly complex pieces and machining them would be time consuming versus just buying them. They are 884169 ($10.05) and GU05429630 ($11.54). The springs are the expensive part that get jettisoned when the bolt comes out of the side. I found a used set on eBay for about $20 which was less than a third the cost of new ones and the rubber hose cover that goes over them. Those bastards are expensive!

I do have the extra bolts and I will send you some next week if I get a clean Covid-19 test back, otherwise after the storm...
