Charging System Failure-Boise Break Down

Thanks John! I saw a different price! When I'm in the US next month I may order one shipped to my hotel! I would be eligible to bring it in duty free saving 12.5%
Cheers

Check with Corsa Meccanica in Vaughn Ontario. They list that part number at $209. They don't list a make but worth a call. Ask for George. He is the owner. Tell him Joe C told u to call. May be able to do a better deal.

Good day everyone!

I wanted to let you know that the Norge is back to its strong running self. After installing the replacement alternator Saturday (Chinese version), I took it out for a run on Sunday and had no issues with the charging system. :D

The bike is running and functioning excellently. I have some suspicions that the previous alternator may have had issues right from the installation as it never charged above 12.7V on the ammeter. The new alternator is consistently charging at 13.2V or more and when I finished the ride the battery was at 13.2V.

As the ABS lamp was illuminated on a short run Saturday and it was also a symptom of the initial discharge situation, I decided to bleed the brakes to see if that would get rid of the warning lamp. The lamp is still illuminated. I will research some of the posts I saw earlier and post if I am unable to find a resolution.

Thanks for your help Joe and John and to everyone else who added their thoughts. I am always impressed by the willingness of the Guzzi rider to help others in need! Have a great day everyone.

Mark
