My name is Bob and I have been riding for about 60 years, I currently own a 1970 Harley FLH ,1977BMW R/100/7 and a 2006 Harley Street Bob that I have put almost 100,000 miles on.
I have been reading about and took a test ride on a Stelvio and I'm thinking of added one to my garage in the near future.
Thanks for letting me join the group.
Bob

Welcome, Bob.
How long was your test ride? The longer the better, as the whole Guzzi thing either sucks you in or pushes you out.

You know Bob, I look at riding/owning a Guzzi much like a horse.

You have to give it some time to figure out if you really like it.

Just like a '70 FLH

Welcome aboard Bob. Fun stable you have there. Sounds like you're a good candidate for Guzzi ownership, as I've owned those brands as well in the past. If you want a real test ride on a Stelvio, click the banner ad at the top of this page; RentAGuzzi.com... and come out and ride. It'll be worth your time all the way around, especially if you've never ridden out here. It's quite a treat.

It takes some effort. Riding a 1970 FLH sure takes some getting used to, and while I like mine, my days of 500 + miles on it are over. ;-)

I have ridden that area a few times, and I'm sure it would be a great place to spend a few days on a Stelvio.

I lived in NO back in the early 90s and always enjoyed riding on your side of the lake. Hated the causeway, though

Welcome Bob, Can't wait to here your comments about your Stelvio test ride.

If it were't for similar statements by others, I think I was a little nuts because a Stelvio puts a big silly grin on my face when I'm on twisty road. If things work out, I'll have a 2010 model in my garage next spring.

If you're buying used, I recommend test driving all the versions, they are a bit different. MG sorted them a bit with each iteration. The 08 09 version didn't come with ABS and that's a deal breaker for me now.

I am looking at a new 2013, it will be after the holidays before I have time for another test ride.
