How much clutch lever pull does your Stelvio require?
Mine takes a LOT of effort. Pretty much more then any other bike I have owned, or close to it.
At 39,000 miles, the clutch works fine. In fact it was apart for an unrelated issue, and the clutch plate looks good.
It has the common 'grawl' when cold at times.
I have heard some say it is the lightest clutch they have used.
But yesterday, the clutch lever cracked from the stress.
This is going to cost me.

For a hydraulic clutch it is a little be more than what I would have thought. My last bike was a cable clutch so no really difference for me.

I rarely pull the clutch all the way in when shifting so not a lot of effort needed. Only time I pull it to the grip is if I am shifting into 1st from a stop or sitting at a light in gear. I also have it set at the second closest to the grip so not a lot of throw needed.

At 25,000 m, my clutch is still light and quiet. No funny noises when cold or any other time, nice smooth engagement. I have the lever adjusted as close to the grip as it will get to accomodate my small hands and it still releases completely and doesn't slip ....

Wow Wayne,

Or you must have brutal power in your left hand/arm, or there is something wrong...
Grease all the points at your handle, try if you can bleed the system without any force.
Is your clutch still much to heavy, look at the thrust bearing at the back of the gear box.
My clutch was heavy also, but I think not thát much.
I had a topic about it and what I did to solve my problem :geek: :
