Hi...

I'm signed up and partially paid for the ECU swap.

I intend to go for the whole kaboodle, but my question is how much extra intake racket will be created with the open airbox lid? Somewhat noticeable or very noticeable?

Joe

ON which model?

on the griso, its' actually quieter, believe it or not. not much, but the airbox lid acts as a resonator.

as for the breva/norge, i havent heard it yt.

07 Griso, sorry.

Quieter?? Hard to believe, but good news.

Joe

well, lt me be a little more specific.

I have a very loud muffler (the guzzitech left side pipe) and my helmet is really quiet (shoei rf1000)but the intake sounds much less "boomy" and much crisper. It SEEMS quieter. perhaps with the stock pipe and a less quiet helmet, that's not the case.

I've "opened" my stock air box by removing the rear snorkel and drilling holes in the lid to supply more air flow. With those mods, idle and cruising noise seems very close to the same but you get a very throaty snarl when you roll on the gas. I hear it... but its not enough to turn heads as I go by ;)
It is possible the modified lid is causing this to be a little louder than wide open would be though... Just haven't compared it yet

Is the CNC airbox lid fitted with or without a filter medium?

It will use stock or aftermarket element.
