Once you get over the 40% range you are really getting any useful data except that you have a problem!
The one thing I would take a look at is the tappets while I was in there.
It is a bit odd that the rings and valves would be shot at that low (for a Guzzi) a mileage. If you are up for it removing the cylinders is a piece of cake - I reckon I can take one side off and put it on in less than an hour. Then take the bits to a machine shop and save a bunch of dough. The OEM valves should be fine - you could go for aftermarket valves such as Manley or Ferrea but they will be a special order.
