I checked the search & found only one answer.
Has anyone had condensation on the inside of screen on their gauges?
My dealer said it was only minor & would cause no problem. I have my doubts about this.

Search on "condensation". There are at least 2 long threads on the subject. A lot of folk have suffered from this. Siome have had new clocks under warranty

Digitek make the clocks and they have only the tiniest bottle of silastic at the plant.

I have the thory that if we warranty enough of the bastards Piaggio might start buying clocks from a real instrument maker

You can fix it yourself by removing the dash and prizing off the face, then dry it thoroughly with a hair dryer or in a VERY low overn and then put the screen face back on with ADEQUATE silicon to keep the moisture out.

My 1200 was fine before I went away but it's misting up badly now. I have a spare dash which I'll swap on and then do the 'Bake and Seal' trick on mine. I'm about to fit a big screen to the 8V for winter so that would seem like the ideal time..

That's the problem with bean counters. The one who does the buying budget never talks to the one responsible for the warranty budget.

I think one of my very first posts on MGC GB forum was asking about my griso clock misting up. Loads of replies saying how common it is.

12 months later its just the same, like the clutch/gearbox clatter mentioned on other threads

Great bike, like others said to me, stop worrying and enjoy

Thanks guys! I think I'll save this as a winter job. My dealer doesn't seem to want to warrenty it.

I had a great dealer warranty my foggy instruments, but I wont name them to protect the innocent, with the number of failures that have occured, it is a design issue, good dealers (all five of them in the US that I know of) will take care of it.....

I think your dealer is obliged to fix this problem. When there's enough condensation in the instrument pannel it wil corrode the connections and the pcb shorting out the whole thing and leaving you with a repair bil of 750€ + . I have read that a griso wich was given to a journalist for a testride had a foggy instrument pannel so it's not a new problem
