Crash bar removal / windscreen needed

I am without the special tool to remove the lower bolts from the crash bar on my 98 California. It appears to be some type of Allen head, and if so what size? Could I find this at an automotive store or a bike site?

I am also looking for a site that would have a fairing and windscreen with hardware. I want to get the wind off me so it would have to be a tall and wide. I saw one on a California that was quite similar to a Vetter but so far the internet search has only found clear screens, and does not cover the handgrips.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks
Bill

The front bolt isn't a special tool. It is a 10mm Allen. I like to use an Allen mounted to a 3/8 inch drive. These are available at most good hardware stores that also sell tools. Get the long one, not a short one. Sears might have them as well. The nut on the inside is a 19mm. Be careful not to drop the nut and star washer between the engine and frame. Don't ask how I know that.

If you are looking for a big windshield, take a look here http://www.harpermoto.com/index.php?dis ... ory_id=229

You could also look at the Plexistar II from National Cycle, see here:

http://shop.nationalcycle.com/perl/cycl ... l=mg%2d015"

I've had one on my T3 FB, the floorboard version of the T3 with dead upright seating position & very wide police type handlebar. It provides very decent protection for the hands, & the "lower" projection does not really block windflow to the Guzzi cylinders, like some barn door windshield/fairings do. Also easily mountable/removeable. In fact I also have a National Cycle Street Shield EX, which uses the same upper mounts. I can swap from one to the other in a matter of minutes. Generally use the Street Shield for summer, Plexistar for rest of year.

Thanks John and Guzzibob. I know I am in Guzzi heaven now.
