Crest to Wrightwood this weekend

Had a feeling you'd be up for it if not otherwise committed. I seem to recall you saying you have never made this trip. If so think I should advise you that it is about an hour La Canada to Wrightwood one way, so including going back & forth to the beach this will chew up your day pretty good. Also goes up to close to 8000', so probably temps in the 50's at the highest points. Pretty wonderful ride, though. You'll want to do it again. So I'll wait to hear forom you later.

The usual meet point is the La Canada Shell station, here:

If you ever do a Sunday trip let me know. My regular work shift is Tuesday thru Saturday. Have made that trip several times on the now totaled CBR but never on the Stelvio. It is a great ride!

I tend to avoid the Crest on Sundays, too many squids & LEOs, though usually not too bad east of Newcomb's. What about Mondays? Since I am retired, all days the same to me-other than squid/LEO/traffic avoidance.

Mondays are actually perfect. Cept of course this Monday (figures). I have to make a trip to Ventura to pick up some stuff. Really looking forward to meeting and riding with you!!

I'm in Burbank, pretty close to you in Canyon Country. From time to time I'm on Little Tujunga, Bouquet Canyon & Lake Hughes Road, all in your area. Those (unlike Angeles Crest) I have no problem with on Sundays-but not this Sunday.

Awesome ... I live about a mile from Bouquet and Plum Canyon roads. We definitely have to get together. Let me know the next time you go out and which route you choose.

Spoke to Mike, & we're thinking 10AM at the La Canada Shell. OK with you? Anyone else welcome to join as well, post if you think you are coming.

Mike and Bob showed me one of the best rides I've ever been on. I can't imagine a better day riding.. :D

Thanks, guys! Loved every minute of it.
Hey, Kiwi Dave.. you shoulda been here.

No kidding! That's good to know. I had an RKA on my Blackbird and thought it was an outstanding bag. I thought the only thing that would fit on a Stelvio was the Guzzi bag. Gonna check them out right now. Thanks so much for the info!
