I made a solo flight from New Jersey to Nova Scotia two weeks ago. 2200 miles round trip. Four fairly wet days, four dry cool days.

The Griso 1100 gave me a few problems, none of which are entirely unexpected:
- The original Rensports: Left home with 3300m and still plenty of tread and rounded as they should be, came home WORN OUT and squared off. The bike was pretty loaded and lots of highways. Time to look for new tires!
- I found a broken exhaust bracket one morning while doing a pre-flight checkout. (thus validating the checkout!) Lucky for me a full service metal fab shop was 1/4 mile away from the campground I was in. Back on the road only 2 hours behind sched.
- The rain rain rain killed my speedo and lit my SERVICE light for three days or so. Reading back in the forum, I see the "solution" for that problem, but it sure was annoying at the time.
- I never did figure out how to set the speedo over to Km, which would have been handy. I did alot of mental math calculating distances!
- The bike ran like a top as always - getting up to 50mpg's.

I'll post some pics but I have to resize them and I am lazy.

Going up I rode over the top, then took the northern coast over to Cape Breton. Did the Cabot Trail, then took the east coast down to Halifax and again down to Yarmouth. From Yarmouth I took a ferry back to Maine.

Great trip that I can recommend to anyone!

Please note: although no board code and smiley buttons are shown, they are still usable.

For tyres I can recommend Michelin Pilot Road 2. Fitted them before my trip to Norway.(see my ride report) Onward and homewardjourney by Highway and hardly squared off. Did over 6000 km and they are "as good as new". I like to see pictures (some day ;) )
Changing from miles to km can be done via the "menu" go to "settings" and you'll find it.
Ciao Dolf.
