05 Breva 1100, 31,000 miles, service by myself every 6k miles. Just before it clocked up 30k I've been getting a DSB06 error in memory and it's flashing, not at a steady rate but it'll flash quickly for a few seconds then stop for a second or two, then start flashing again, slow, fast, slow, wierd. I cannot clear it, it just returns and keeps winking at me.

The book says DSB06 is the air temp sensor but which one is it, there are two on the bike, one in the dash and one in the air box. The temp displayed on the dash is correct and when I've had the VDSTS connected up, the same temp is shown on the screen. Would they anyway, does the VDSTS get the same info as the dash?

I don't get any other errors, fuel comsumption is fine, I'm getting what I'd expect, and it runs like a swiss watch.

Gutsibits had a used one in stock at less than half price, 18GBP, I've had that in for a couple of months but I've not been doing many miles. The problem has gone away so it looks like the suggestion by Spokes was right, thank you.

When I connected it to the VDSTS it seemed to be functioning correctly, it must have been on it's way out. Anyway, it's sorted now, no flashing DSB06.

the air box sensor generates a plain english message in VDST . I know cause I failed to connect it properly after a filter change Doh.
