Guys, I have the following part #'s listed on GuzziTech as optional "inner" plugs for those who have done the dual plug mod on older Guzzis:
NGK CR71/SA (not found) and/or NGK C7HSA **Found online as NGK #4629**

For the newer Guzzis (Griso, Breva, Norge, etc.), I found the following info online for the inner plug:
NGK - Double Platinum - Part no. PMR8B ~$14/per
I also pulled from this Forum: CR8EIX **Found online as: NGK Part #4218 - $7.28/per** (shown below) and DCR8EIX (not found).

Anyone have any (USA available) brands/numbers to add for the newer and older bikes?

Re:Dual-plug part # questions

My 2008 Tucker Rocky catalog still lists C7HSA for $3.15. That's where I get them.

Re:Dual-plug part # questions

I forget: does NGK's number increase for colder plugs or hotter? I'm just asking 'cause the plugs for my SV are CR9EIX iirc, & I find it a bit odd that a water-cooled bike would spec a colder plug than an air-cooled Guzzi?

Yeah, yeah, I know: vastly different critters w/ no relation whatsoever, I just found it curious is all...

Re:Dual-plug part # questions

For NGK, lower number = hotter, higher= cooler. And while we're at it, for the C7HSA's used as inner plugs for many an after market twin plugged early Guzzi, you can get them at most any Yamaha or Honda dealer, they are used on some ATV's. Last time I bought, the Honda rebranded versions were cheaper.

On a French site, I just found some reference to Brisk spark plugs, which are supposed to have some advantages. I haven't yet managed to learn if they also allow a reduction of pinging, but the tech info on the web does suggest they might affect the syndrome:
Outer for Breva 1100, 2004-2005: L10ZS
Outer for Breva 1100 2006 and later (and presumably Norge etc): LOR15LGS

I would be interested in knowing that as well.

We have a member (who also sells something like the RapidBike module) who's arranged to be a Brisk dealer, and who's distributed 15 pairs to people on twinzone.fr . Unfortunately, I wasn't aware of that, but I guess that we'll soon hear about any benefits.

Re: the Brisk plugs: I've read several positive reports by now, though nothing suggesting extreme improvements (so it may just be suggestion ... except for the difficult first few starts). Nothing on pinging as yet, guess we'll have to wait for summer to know about that.

No alternatives for the inner plugs either.

I intend giving the NGK IRIDIUM plugs a go on G8V (CR8EIX). While I'm at it, I understand the plug caps are troublesome to remove and easily damaged, so am looking for NGK cap replacement. Please could someone let me know of THE cap to have. Any shared tricks of the trade welcome, as I've not done this procedure yet.

See Pete's post here https://www.guzzitech.com/forum/196/5064.html Also the NGK number is in the Stelvio section.

Have fitted the CR8EIX plugs, they are definately an improvement on standard. Had to screw on terminal cap on each plug, as I used original caps. These caps pulled off easily, they are made of solid plastic, and won't damage easily like some other guys have experienced. Combustion seems so strong, complete, reactive, smooth. Bike pulls like a train, a long run has a bit more zip. I often used to stall when coming to a rapid stop and throttle off ( I junked the stepper ), but no longer with these plugs. Have not looked at PCV/AT data yet. Oh, cold starting is immediate, no throttle twist required at all. Altogether, a very good move.

I'm specifically looking for iridium replacement spark plugs for the 07 Griso 1100
The CR8EIX is the same plug I use in my SV650, but it is not the plug that's listed for the G11

Current part numbers shown on the NGK website for the 06 (and I'm assuming other years) 1100 Griso are:

standard - BPR6ES
iridium equivalent - BPR6EIX

So what about the other two plugs? Is there no iridium replacement (any brand) for it? Can anyone confirm/deny any of this for me?

The Brisk website has two plugs listed for the twin-spark griso 1100 , NEITHER of which seem to be iridium

LR15YC, which is the same plug they list for the uni-spark griso
