Wondering if anyone has tried a set of D616 on a Griso 1100 .......The tire seems pretty agressive for a Griso but the price is right ... also interested if some one has experiance with Bridgestone 023 aswell .
Tire threads
thank you in advance for any experiance or opinions you may have , i am new to the Griso (love the bike) and can be a aggressive rider ....currently running D106 came with the bike and need to be replaced

Sorry, haven't tried the D616. I run sport touring tires mostly.

But I have tried the 023's, they are sport touring tires and not sport tires. I found that the 023's were my least favorite of all the tires I've tried. Mileage was a bit lower and the grip was not as good as other sport touring tires.

My favorites are the sport touring Z8s multi zone tension tires. Got decent mileage, 10k front and 5.5k rear. They kept they shape to the end. Grip was always good and on wet roads too. The M5s are the sport equivalent.

Hi, from new the Metzeler wore down quick to the inner belt. I've now got Bridgestone BT023-GT, done 7000 miles and still 1/2000 left. The GT version is for heavier touring bikes. So suited to me when 2 up + camping gear. They really havn't squared off much at all. They feel very sure footed, and make mincemeat out of poor road surfaces. I once nearly came to grief as car in front slammed on, front and back brakes squeezed, double wheel skid, and stayed up, loads of friction giving rubber.

Sounds like a sport tire is out of the question for you then. My buddy had good results with the Angels Sport Touring. What model Metz did you have? Glad the 023s did their job for you when you needed them to.

Guess the best recommendation I have is to not get the same tires again but to try different tires to find what you kine best.

I have used the 023 on my Multi and they have worked very well , i was wondering how they work on my Griso ...different bike an all and 70lbs heavier ....i may give them a go the GT models as it sounds like they give good sticktion as well...
the Dunlop d616 i am unfamilar with but have heard some good things ;) ..they may be to light for the Griso as to wear but the price i have been quoted is about the same as the 023 std...............
Thanks for your input Gentlemen New to Guzzi and my Griso but i am loving it...
