Hi All,

New to the forum as I recently picked up my first MG, an '07 B11. I was poking around a bit and checking the brake pads and noticed there are no dust covers on the front calipers. Should there be?

Thanks In Advance,
Lee

Hi fellow "new" Breva owner :)

Have a look at the download section here at guzzitech. There's some good resources such as Part List and manuals etc...

According to the Parts List the Air bleed valve (05659230) looks like it's supplied with a rubber cap. My '05 Breva v1100 has caps on all three bleed valves.

Not sure if that's what you mean but if not the parts list under downloads will be of great help.

Referencing the parts diagram, which I previously downloaded, would be too easy.... :D

So, according to Table 30, there is no cover for the backside of the caliper. The calipers on my K75 have plastic covers that look a bit more tidy.

When my new bikes has those covers one of the first things I do is remove them.
There are reasons like helping the brakes run cooler and cleaner but the best reason is it is much easier to check the status/condition of the brake pads so you don't wear them down to the metal.
