Guys,

I need some help if possible..

A few months ago I ordered Todd's ECU (new one , no reflash), PCV w/ AT and airbox ring.. Due to some problems totally out of Todd's control (customs kept package for 3+ weeks, slow shipping, first ECU got thrashed during shipment and resulted in issues when installing it, returned the ECU which took a detour through Brazil, .. ) in short. I only got to test the ECU last Wednesday
I started up the bike together with my dealer and it ran beautifully.. perfect idle, spin up was direct, awesome :D .. I took it for a short ride and it was everything I read about and more.. My dealer who has been working with Guzzi's and Laverda's for a long was amazed how the bike felt and rode.I hadn't installed the PC-V / AT or airbox ring yet, because I wanted to have the ECU sorted out first to have control over the full throttle range.

However there is 1 issue which prevents me from keeping the ECU on the bike. The speedo indicates about 7x the actual speed. Also the trip meter and distance driven are x7.. I can't drive like that..We will most likely have vehicle inspection for motorbikes instated in the coming year and that will certainly result in my bike being given a red card Is there a way to reset the dash or should I give up?

For the record however I would like to add that Todd's commitment and help has been outstanding in trying to solve the issue. I am convinced that his products are top notch (so much that I'll be ordering the slip-on afterwards). Thanks Todd!

Patrick

edit: Stelvio is a 2010MY, ABS, speed sensor in front wheel

Is there a way to reset the dash or should I give up?
No, there isn't. I've had the same issue and the only way is to send the ecu back. If you ask Todd he will send an other ecu, so you can return yours later.

I thought as much, I'll be sending my own ECU this time to have it reflashed and see what happens.

Just curious though.. in the Workshop Manual there is an entry to upload new firmware through the Axone to the dashboard... has anybody already done that, and what is it's purpose?

Patrick

Edit: I looked at your profile Martin and noticed we are practically neighbours ;)

Guys, *PLEASE* just contact me direct so I can get this resolved directly, and I do not have to surf my Forum to help you out.
