I have a chance to buy an EV1100 Bassa, it is a nice bike but has about 70K miles on the odometer. Would this amount of miles scare you guys away? The bike has been serviced regularly and has many extras, good paint and chrome, new tires and just presents well. Thanks in advance for any replies.

Thanks, I have heard they will go up to 150000K when taken care of. I have had Guzzi lust for some time now and think I will go ahead and jump on the bike.

Plus when it does need work, a lot easier to work on yourself than most bikes out there. Just for curiosity, what is the asking price, & the most important functional (ie, not just cosmetic) mods? Probably should mention that I am still regularly riding (yesterday) a 165,000 mile 850T3 I bought new in 1978. It does everything better now than when it was new, courtesy of regular maintenance & some judicious modifications over the years.

Don't let the miles concern you. Just plan on replacing the timing chain and install a good aftermarket tensioner at around a hundred thousand miles. One of the bikes I regularly service is a 2000 Jackal. I replaced the timing chain at a ninety thousand. It now has about 170,000 miles and is still going strong. It's compression is down a little, but not enough to warrant doing the top end.
