Hi All,

I've got me a new Griso 8V SE, and it is amazing, I love it!

But I'd like to change the exhaust, it doesn't sound like a Guzzi should (like my Mk3 with Staintunes *drool*). So I am in the market for an after market exhaust.
The only problem is I really would like the style of the exhaust to match the older styling of the bike...as opposed to newer Yoshi exhausts with their weird hexaginal cross section, that would suit a honzukawamaha.

So, if it wouldn't be too much trouble, could those with a Griso post pictures of their pride and joy sporting an after market exhaust if you have one? Also any info on the exhaust you might have.

Hi Chris,

This is how your bike will look like with ZARD.

It is a homologated version with CAT and removable dB killer, part number is ZG070SSO-B.

It sounds just right, loud and bassy enough to put a silly grin on my face comparing to the stock muffler but not too loud to frown the neighbours and traffic police.

My bike is a MY2009 model, the ZARD pipe upset the stock fueling and made the bike ran like a bucking horse. Pete loaded the #068 maps for me and restored the rideability back to stock condition if not better.

I would recomend the original aftermarket pipe from Guzzi/Termignoni. Exelent quality, sound and looks. I have one on the smaller sibling the 850, I love the looks and the sound, drive mostly with the baffle in.

I would not buy those, they are cheap and you get what you pay for, I have one fittet to my NF. They are allso quite restrictive and that supprised me, had to drill it out to get the bike running like before I fitted it. Not to put down this product but they are NOT the thing you put on a Griso.
 
Guzzistaracing you say you drilled it out. Does it have baffle plates as oposed to a straight through tube? What size did you drill it ? Are these mufflers stainless? Roughly what are the diameters and lengths of the muffler? Cheers.

We fitted some of these to a mates Triumph ,The baffles are more of a straight through type.They are a bit loud on full chat.You can see daylight no problem.
 
Thanks for the responses so far guys, your thoughts and ideas are all being taken on board.

I fortunately have the luxury of time (thanks to a wallet that is expanding at an exceptionally slow rate) so I will be taking my time with a selection and doing plenty of research.
Everyone should feel free to continue photo whoring their bikes sporting after market exhausts for all and sundry to oggle!

Thanks a lot for the detailed photos, Phang. Gives me a really good idea what the Zard looks like (I'm not going to lie to myself here, the choice for this is going to be 75-90% looks).
