Faultless foreign foray

I spend most of my life working away from home so when I am here I ride the Griso everywhere.
Try to fit in as many long runs as possible or a 300-400 klm day run.
Had no problems other than the stock ECU crap.
The funniest thing I ever had anyone say was a HD rider at the traffic lights tell me the Guzzi had an agricultural gearbox, too f(*&%^ stunned for words :)

Yeah I have to judge speed by the exhaust note.

Tool kit for adjusting suspension flat screwdriver & 17 mm spanner and tyre repair kit with small compressor.

Don't know yet about the Griso, it's only done 7500km but my old T3 that a rode everywhere, summer and winter, was 32 years old when I sold it, had done 213000km and it had never broken down in the 15 years that I had it, and as far as I know it's still riding around. It had a new pair of pistons at 132,000 and a U.J. put a different camshaft in it at that time, not cos the old one was no good but the dealer reckoned that the new cam would make it go faster... ? but that was all. When I got it, at about 105,000 I fitted electronic ignition that was the best mod. Not sure yet whether the new Guzzi will be as reliable as that !

Well I'm back home after another Faultless Foreign Foray. Only about 2500 miles this time and still no problems. Somebody's going to have to do something about this or the next thing we know Guzzi will get a reputation for bullet proof reliability! Only saw one other Guzzi while I was away, a UK registered V7 Classic I passed on the motorway near Castello Branco. I hope I didn't give him too much of a shock as anything bigger than a moped is rare there, another UK bike is even rarer and the odds of it being another Guzzi must be almost incalculable!

If I can get my act together with the technology I might post a video of some of the mountain roads.
