A friend and I are organising a tour for a bunch of guys of the forum were on. He lives near Bruges and is well known with the little roads near the coast of Flanders. The region is famous for it's WWII battlefields! (Anybody knows the poem: In Flandersfields the poppy's grow...)

Yesterday, we went for a first 'inspection'. And since I got my licenseplate the day before, the Breva was the bike to do it with!
The first 100km were on the highway, the MG windshield combined with the laminar lip do a nice job. Coming from a KTM, the seat is lower and the bars further away, so the lower back is a bit 'stressed'
Was I a bit nervous, did i have to get used to the bike? Steering was rather heavy and not going smooth.

motortalk and koffee and of we went... It's a flat region with mainroads connecting the city's and villages but also lots of twisty small (single track) roads used by locals and farmers. (and sometimes motorcyclists) Because of the farmers already started their work, often the roads are muddy or covered with small stones. I can assure you feeling front and/or rearwheel stepping aside, is not good for the confidence...
After a luchstop, roads are getting drier, confidence is getting better, tempo goes a bit up, let the bike do the work! Brakes were less touched, just still some getting used to the play in the CARC and the enginebraking! Who said "a Guzzi has to 'grow' on you"?

This 'baby' is staying... :D

I have about 100 miles on my new Breva. I think mine is a keeper also.

I have a Guzzi windshield also. I have not installed it yet. How tall are you? I don't want any buffeting and am curious about how much the Laminar Lip helps.

For me, the best thing ever for buffeting.
My eyeballs were bouncing everywhere from the buffeting until I installed the "lip". About an inch over the windshield and that was more than enough.
I rarely feel a need to rase the windshield more than half way.
I am a bit over 6' 1" but tall on the top with a 32" inseam.
This is on a Norge.
Go for it.

...

Me to...
Tried without the lip earlier this week, but with the screen in the 'flattest' position. It's almost the same!

I put a laminar lip on my MG shield with a 50/50 overlap. At 6.0ft I found the effect dramatic. The buffeting goes over the top of my helmet and away from my ears. Previously the air blast hit you in the visor. You can feel the curtain of air infront with your hand. My only mistake was to wait 40 000 miles before I bought one.

My son and I rode up in to the edge of the NC mountains Saturday. I put the Guzzi windshield on my 1100 Breva before I left. I installed it in it's lowest setting. The wind blast was hitting my helmet a little below eye level.

I'm about 6'1" with a 32" inseam also.

Today I adjusted the windshield to the tallest setting. It was raining so I just didn't feel like a test ride. After I see how much that raises the wind blast, I'll order the Laminar Lip.

I also installed the factory luggage rack on my Breva. I have a Krauser universal mount ordered that I hope to bolt onto the factory rack. I have 2 Krauser K5 cases that are not being used at the moment. I hope I can use one for a top case.

I am waiting on Hepco and Becker side case mounts to arrive. The HB 30 liter hard cases arrived last week.

I can't wait to get everything bolted on.
