Just wondering what the cost of the first service on a 2015 Norge could possibly be, that is if you took it to a dealer. I did a search, just didn't find anything specific. Just wondering as i will need the first service when i arrive in Salt Lake City from Seattle.

First service is about 2 hours labor plus fluids. Much depends on the labor rate, and how in depth the mechanic goes. Good ones do a bit more, which takes time.

I am approaching my first service (2015) as well. I asked about the cost, and I was given an estimate of $300-350). I think the going rate is $85/hr. The dang 10-60 oil is nearly $20/qt, and it takes almost 4 I believe. Not sure about the cost of the 90 weight for the rear end and transmission. And the valve adj. but I guess it all comes to about $350. The bikes will feel much better after this first service! I'm getting mine done on the 17th ahead of a trip to North Carolina. Did your Norge come with the Pirelli Angel ST tires? The "angel" in the tread pattern should turn to the devil about the time the first service is due (600-900 mis). Maybe that devil shows up in time to comment on the expense.

Just an update: I have the Norge in for the first service at Cadre Cycles - pick it up tomorrow, and it indeed came to $350. That included addressing a list of minor niggles/observations. And, the angel has all but gone... For comparison:

I like that. Duc/Duc/Goose. Very creative.

And the Angle. How long did it take for the devil to appear?
For me on the V7 Stone first service around $285.00. Not the same as a Norge I realize.
I'm a big believer in using the dealer for service if you can get to one.
I drug my bike 100 miles on a trailer to drop off at my dealer for first.
He's a great guy and offered to do it at home one night and teach me to do my own valve adjustment work.
Doesn't get more real than that. Good people. I'm very impressed with the love and commitment by the Guzzi
dealers.
My Harley dealer is very nice to me but I spend more money there that I care to admit but I still am a favorite child I know.
Costs are not affected, they still get me good but I like great service and when you have a flat tire at 70 mph
on a Friday night at 5:10pm and they come right out for no cost to haul your but back into the shop they have my undying
affection.

Hey Ken - Sounds like you've got some good service guys! A flat at rush hour no less! Yep, that devil showed up at about 850 miles. Kind of a gimmick, hehe. But, he was just in time for the first service. Bike is running great! Looking forward to riding it on roads in NC that my Ducs know well. It won't be near as fast, but I guarantee my neck and back won't be complaining nearly as loud!

For the traveler: I'm sure you know that the bike needs to be stone cold to do a valve adjust. That often means leaving the bike in the shop overnight.
