Hi,

I want to fit cone filters to the dellorto PHBH 30 carbs on my Strada 750. Does anyone know what mods, jet changes, etc that I might need to make. And if so, if there are any kits out there for doing this ?

Thanks

Cheers

Rob

There was a guy that added such filters to a 750. I thought he posted it here, but it was a couple of years ago so it may have been lost in the site's reorganization.

Be warned, it was a surprisingly large amount of work to do.

I fitted foam filters to my MONZA which also has PHBH carbs.

I raised the needle one clip, up 5 sizes on the main jet and 4 on the pilot jet. Runs like a champ. It was mostly guess work and that i have been using PHBHs on Vespas for 10 years so ... have a bit of a feel for them.

the mix screw should be 1 1/2-2 turns out ideally if your pilot jet is spot on but 1-3 turns is OK too.

Chris

if your strada has the oil breather integrated with the existing air box you may have to re work the breather system too
