Just got mine today, mounted it, test ride and an issue. Around 65-80 the top half vibrates a fair amount. Enough to make me think I should stiffen it up. I'm also considering a laminar lip for her (had one on the Quota and liked it) but right now I don't she could take the extra stress.

Thoughts?

I had one on my Griso but I'm 6'1" and it didn't work as well as I would have hoped that it would so I tried it on my Breva 750 and it worked much better. This was due to the seating & handlebar position difference between the bikes. Mine did not vibrate badly when it was on the Griso. What I did do was to cut the rear part of the brackets so the 770 would move closer to the rider. I just sawed them off with my cutting tool to the point where the bolts would still sit firmly in the slots on each side without leaving very much room towards the rear.

BTW: You'll want to tilt the top of the A770 towards the rider as far as you can get it to make the air smooth. I've tried it in every conceivable position on both of my Guzzis and the top-tilted back works the best by far. Otherwise, you'll create a dirty air flow. I bought the A770 for the Griso based on a recommendation from a man that I met at Riders Hill in Dahlonega Ga. who had one on his Griso. He said that it worked really well for him. What I didn't take into account though was that he was around 5'6" tall so he sat much lower than I do on a Griso. Like I said earlier, this little fairing works pretty well for me on my Breva 750 but I'm leaning further forward due to the handlebars and the Breva seat is like a pocket that puts your butt in a low position. I've also used Laminar Lips and had excellent success with them on other windscreens and I think that you could use one (depending on how tall you are will give you X results) on the A770. Once you tilt the screen towards you to clean up the airflow that's hitting the fairing, the L.Lip should kick the air up for another few inches. I would definitely recommend that you cut the metal pieces like I did to move the fairing closer to you. It makes a big difference on a Griso.

thanks for the tips. I have a 6-2 body but most of my length is in the legs. I'll need to take some long rides up the freeway with the allen wrenches and test things out more.

Mine vibrates a bit at higher speeds, but nothing excessive for a fairing that is not "framed". I have mine tilted as far towards the rider as the mount allows.
