Good day, Im the owner of a V7 Cafe Classic and I would like to replace the front disc brake with something more agressive....I found on ebay a performance part for a Nevada 2007....size is as follow....

Outside diameter: 320 mm
Inside diameter: 64 mm
Thickness: 5 mm
Number of Holes: 6
Diameter: 8,5 mm
Boltpattern: 80 mm
Height: 10 mm

anybody knows if it would fit????

Thanks

Have you tried first replacing the stock brake pads with more effective ones, like the EBC sintered [Part Number: FA244HH]?

the braking power is decent....but it feels like the disc surface is not event...or warped....been like that since new....so those brake pads are fine for me or similar ones....just want something thats not gonna pulse in my hand and in the front fork.....right now im only using the rear brake as the front one is just pulsing,.....

Mate, the disc shouldn't be causing 'Pulsing'. If it is it is either warped or not floating on the bobbins. It's still in warranty innit? Get it fixed or replaced!

You CAN'T ride around using only the back brake. It's a recipe for sudden, early, painfull death. The rear brake is only there for holding you on a hill, settling the bike into a turn and helping you steer. all the *real* stopping is done by the front relying on the back alone is suicidal!

I agree; you can't ride around on just the rear brakes.

There can a many causes to pulsating brakes. It can be warped rotors, problems with the pads, the caliper pistons, the wheel bearings, tires, even the forks. It can be hard to pin down, so do the easy things first.

Do you get the pulses at low speed, high speed, or both? Are the wear marks on the rotors uniform, or irregular?
A Classic should be pretty new, but how many miles on it? Has the brake fluid been changed often (to indicate whether or not the pistons might have corrosion).

I just replaced the front rotor and pads on my V7C for the same reason. The disk was warped. The front rotor is a common unit that is used on several bikes including the Nevada and Breva.

I chose EBC. I purchsed their Prolite Rotor. The part number is MD614X. I purchsed their Organic Kevlar pads. The part number is FA244. EBC sells a more aggressive rotor and pads if you want them. They installed without any issues and their performance meets my needs. I have almost 2k on them now.

I got the rotor and pads from JC Motors. They seemed to have the best price.

My rear rotor has the same problem and I want to replace it, but I cannot find anyone that makes one. I could not find one on the Brembo webpage and they make the OEM rotor.

First; can only second Pete & all.

Second; the front brake on these SBs are efficiently enough; you can easily block the front wheel even from speed if you get a bit eager. Changing for something else and cooler would only be a waste of money. They are Brembo's after all. ;)

Finally got new front rotor on waranty.....feels go to have brakes again.....the V7 cafe was braking as good as my Eldorado 73 without the front brake.....quite scary sometimes
