Hi,
I just bought this stainless steel front wheel - I didn't realise it would be half-width.
I have owned 3 Tonti framed Guzzis over the last 30 years, but they all had full-size wheel nuts.
I am a bit nervous about this thin nut.
Has anybody else used one without their front wheel failing off at speed ?!?
What do you think?

That STEEL nut can withstand thousands of pounds of force.

It is absolutely sufficient. All it does is hold the axle from backing out. (It’s not holding the entire motorcycle together 😝)

Main function of the axle and nut is to side load the wheel bearings so the wheel runs true. They press on the inner race of each bearing onto the spacer in the wheel. I've often wondered why Guzzi specifies such high torques. If you torque that high, there is no way to remove the nut in the field in case of a puncture. I get that nut tight, but no so tight I can't remove it with the tools in the tool kit.

Thanks guys for the reassurance! I will use it and enjoy the weight-saving!!
