Fuel cap Stelvio

Hello,

I recently had to take apart the fuel cap of my Stelvio (clogged after tanking dirty fuel).
Once you unscrew the cap assembly from the tank you notice a red plastic bloc onthe underside
of the outer cap ring.
This bloc is fixed with 2 screws.
After unscrewing these screws I removed the plastic bloc but to my horror 3 small items fell out.
A small steel ball, a spring and a small washer.
Now I don't know how to reassemble these parts.
Can anybody help me?
 
According to my dealer (But he wasn't very sure about it), the spring and washer have to fit above the black rubber insert.
The ball goes in the hole on the left under side (on the picture that is).
The 2 holes on the right side are for the fitting screws.
Could he be right?
