I wonder if there is any third party accessories to see the level of the gas inside the tank...

You have one built in. It's called the odometer.

I've never seen a need for it. It gives you a warning light when you are low which gives me about 30-40 miles to find a gas station.

So, if you fall down at speed on the right side your bike can leave a trail of flames to where it ended up so you can locate it easily. I'll bet the metal ends are titanium so they spark better. Just kidding but I wouldn't do that to my bike. I foresee leaks and a future search for an unmodified fuel tank.

I have a V7 with an idiot light, and a trip odometer which is the fuel gauge I am accustomed to. I also have an Aprilia Capornord which has (had) a fuel gauge which quickly succumbed to the evils of Ethanol in our NA fuels. Missed it for a couple days, but then went back to the tried and true method which is well described above.

That being said I will replace the unit when updated parts are available. It's a nice to have.

pretty rare to have the tank scrape. bars, foot controls and if you added them... crash protectors will all keep the tank from hitting the ground. If it were to happen. Just keep a couple plugs in your jacket and plug it up if the line breaks. pretty simple fix.

But I like using my tripometer to tell where my gas level is at. And if you ever forget to zero it out just double your normal mileage and watch for that magic number.
