Hi Guys, loolking for some advice for a problem with my Stone.
It starts well no missfires, but under medium to large throttle openings it just bogs down as if its being starved of fuel?? it seems to affect both cylinders at the same time and doesnt feel like the ignition side/ could be wrong though.
When this starts to happen you have to ride it gingerly on minimum throttle to keep going.
When stationary it revs out etc.
Ive put in new plugs and the fuel filter looks newish.
Any ideas very welcome

What year Stone? In-tank fuel pump could be an (known) issue. Will move this thread to the Loop/Tonti section on your reply.

Its a 2001 with the fuel pump behind the side panel, do all this type of pump buzz loudly?

Fairly loud, yes, though it could be a sign of it failing too. Does your bike have a lambda sensor? It could also be spark or ignition problem... really tough to diagnose via the net.
You're not close to a Guzzi Shop to help you out? If not, this tool can be of help; VDSTS.

Do you have the electric fuel valve still? I have seen similar symptoms caused by a valve that only partially opens, and also by the regulator.

Yes its got a electric fuel tap, is it something worth changing, I've been told it could be the TPS? throttle position sensor? what do you think.

It's very common for a wire on the electric petcock to break and the fuel pump has to try to suck fuel through the (closed) fuel tap. The pump is *very* noisy in that situation. If that is what is happening, fix it asap. You really don't want to buy one of those pumps..
