Thinking of becoming a Moto Guzzi V850 tt owner after 12 years with a BMW GS1200 as my main bike. Cannot get a test ride locally as no demo bike available. My main concerns are the power output (only around 60hp at the rear wheel) the dry clutch, the speed at which the front of the engine discolours and corrodes without a front fender. (we don't all live in dry, mud free countries) but lovely looking machine as is the new Mondello

Hello and welcome from equally wet and muddy Bedfordshire.
A friend of mine went from a BMW1200RS to a V85 and kindly enough let/s me ride both frequently. You can`t help but notice the difference in power but the MG just encourages you to ride differently and then it always seems to have enough oomph for whatever situation you are in.
I can`t imagine the clutch would bother you if you were to buy the bike and I believe after market fenders are available. FWIW I have Italian bikes up to 20 years old and I try to ride all year round. Generally the finish is better than the reputation would have you believe as long as you treat the bike sensibly.
