Im looking to purchase a GPS for my Stelvio, Decided on either the Zumo 550 or 660 the thing is there is a lot of remanufactured units offered with full 12 months Garmin warrenty at a big cost saving on new units. Whats the general opinion on these NOH units , a good buy or avoid ?
Thanks.
Mike.

Not sure on remanufactured. If it comes with a warranty, I would try it.

I use an older Garmin 276C. I haven't used any of the newer ones, so I'm not sure why this is, but when I ride with others, they usually put me in the lead. I am able to find interesting roads on the move, using my GPS as a moving map, that nobody else can. Many times people with the Zumos appear to used planned out routes and tend to stick to the plan. Part of it is the fact that I use my maps in a flat 2D view, and Zumo users use that worthless (IMHO) 3D mode. Looks cute, but doesn't give the details that 2D gives. I assume the Zumo can be set to 2D, but I've not seen anyone do that.

Of course, I occasionally find roads like this:
:woohoo:

I buy refurbished electronics all the time. Can't remember when I've had a problem and usually save lots of money.

I'm the same , never had a problem. Bought a Sony monitor and a laptop this way. I figure no matter the quality control a certain percentage leave the factory "DOA". I figure at least when refurbished they get a full system test before being resold.

Hi I bought a reconditioned Tom Tom rider from Zkarlo on Ebay for 200.00 to my place in B.C. which is about half price. I had a problem pairing the blue tooth untill I found out you can download the user manual off the net. Now it is working fine. It came with a cheap bar mount 12V cig. and 110V charger for the house.

I bought a white box garmin 400 a while ago and have had no trouble with it at all.
