Introduction post.

Juts picked up my first Moto Guzzi, a new 2015 V7 Special from Euro Cycles of Tampa Bay. It's not just my first new motorcycle, but my first new vehicle purchase ever. At 40, I've always bought/ridden vintage.

The bike has 10 miles on the clock and I can't wait to add a ton more.

I've always ridden vintage (currently 72 CB450 restomod and just got rid of my 72 Titan 500), but my wife enjoys riding 2-up so I have been looking to get a modern classic to have something more comfortable and reliable for day trips.

Rode the Ducati Scramblers, all the Triumphs, CB1100, Sportsters, the XSR900 and the BMW R9T. It came down to the BMW and the V7 (the XSR900 is amazing, but it wasn't great 2-up). The V7 won out because it just felt closest to what I've always been used to. It helped a friend at the local dealer let me know they were just about to list their last V7 under cost.

Loaded up the trailer and picked it up yesterday evening. About to gear up and take it for it's first ride.

Can't wait to dig into the forum and learn about the community and bike.

Doesn't hurt that is has an Italian cousin (wife's 500 Abarth) to share the garage with.

Congrats - EuroCycles performed my first service on my 14v7r a few months back. They had Guzzi a few year's back, dropped them and now picked them back up.

Congrats and welcome to the GT and Guzzi Famiglia. Hope you'll add your VIN# and info to the Registry. If you've primarily owned and rode vintage, you should be a good fit with Guzzi, and you might just be another instant addict. Be forewarned.
2015's have a few minor quirks. Be sure to read up here in the Forum. Check your charging voltage at the battery at both idle and 3-4k RPM. Pay close attention to clutch adjustment on break in, and be sure they do the head re-torque at the 600 mi service.
Beyond that enjoy it. I have a long list of performance mods that can be found under the store tab above.
Post often.
