Hello Campers! Greetings from Rome. 😄

It’s so nice to be back in Italy again.

Although looking at photos of Italian motorcycles is exciting as can be to an weird old bird like me, there is a certain joy in another type of photo, one of real Italian food! 😆

I very rarely eat Italian food in a restaurant in America because it’s never really Italian food, at least not anything I recognize as such.

Last night, as it was my first night in Rome with my other half and my oldest sister, I splurged.

This is a brief photo collage of real Italian food we ate that I wish I could eat in restaurants in the USA.

You “Foodies” out there may recognize salumi e formaggio, stuffed squash flower fritters, vegetable white lasagne, bucatini, gnocchi, beef filet in green peppercorn sauce, insalata verde, mixed grilled meats, roman artichokes, oh the massive deliciousness. 😊😊😊

Needless to say, I am a happy camper again and I am warning my family that I may never return to the USA. The thought of getting on a plane to return to the States, is just something I cannot contemplate at the moment.

I may just send a postcard to my sons marked “Send Dogs and Motorcycles. Sell the rest!” 😆

Yes, it’s wonderful to be back in Italy. 🥰 🙏

Thank you!

It’s also great fun just watching the motorcycles and scooters zipping all over the place. Walking along the parking areas for two wheelers, is an unparalleled joy. Seen some really neat stuff.

Envy and jealousy are not good emotions but they do seem appropriate at the moment.

The food is a joy, and I'm looking forward to getting back there soon to partake

Now I'm retired I'm not held by the old working holiday limits there are many more options to visit

Preliminary conversations have been held with domestic management whereby I ride the Roamer there and she flys

Grand, Scott; simply grand.!

Pictures worth the pixels!

Even more attractive, appetizing, and indubitably delicious fare than Daviess County mutton and cheese curds in the Driftless. That's high praise from this Swabian peasant. :giggle:

Your proposed postcard ... “Send Dogs and Motorcycles. Sell the rest!” ... was hilarious. :D

This is just vacation in the south if Italy and Greece. Not moving or staying in Italy at the moment.

Currently in Santorini, Greece. Been here for a few days. Headed to Mykonos tomorrow for a few days and then ready to come home to Shangri-La in Ohio.

We miss our boys, our 4 dogs, and my
motorcycles very much! 😆
