I bought this Griso knowing I couldn't ride it as it sat due to prior knee injuries. But the heart wants what the heart wants.
Before I bought the bike I contacted Knight Industries and gave the story. In short I said if they can design comfy pegs I can buy my dream bike. They assured me they could, so I bought this bike simply because of that phone call. I just installed my 2" drop pegs yesterday. It has completely transformed the bike for me. Now that they have the design down, I'm sure they'll be offering it to the masses so I wanted to let people know.

Very nice and Kudos to Knight Design, Are you finding an issue with finding the brake lever and clutch pegs ? I have a solution if you do like I did.

I had that problem with the 1" lowered pegs. I'm used to it now, but I'd like to know what you did...

grisogreg,

2" lower pegs! Nice work.

Just curious because I don't need to drop anything due to my small midget frame (5.7).
But how do you guys cope in the curves with this?
I'd be scraping everywhere, lol.

I'm scraping my toes right now with a 1" drop. Not all that often and now I tend to raise my inside foot to avoid it altogether. 2" would have me concerned.

The shifter side works fine with the eccentric adjusted and my size 12 foot. The brake side pin and rubber are too high so I'm having a new one made.
For this bike, clearance isn't an issue for me but understandably this set-up is not for everyone. Personally it was choice between having a bike I couldn't ride comfortably or sacrificing corner clearance.

Ta.

Nice work, but not enough offset to work for me. I need to lower the peg more as well as lengthening it.

I asked Knight Design if they could produce something, and they said they would look into it, but nothing as yet.

I might try to get something made locally.

I don't have a problem with the shifter side, just the brake.

KD is great to work with. I helped them with the 1" drop on the Griso after using their pegs on a 1125 buell.

Good luck with them. I have been very happy with the work they did for me.
