hi guys,
A friend of mine want to change the transmission(gearbob) and differential oil. What type!? It's little bit confusing in the manual which one is the differential where it says gearbox and transmission.
And is it GL4 or GL5.
Thank you guys

Not to throw a damper on the interchangeability of the GL4 vs GL5 gear lube recommendations, I suggest you research whether or not your tranny and differential has any "yellow metal" (brass, bronze or copper) components within...like some used for some synchronizers. GL4 is compatible with those "yellow metal" parts, but GL5 or even the combination GL4/GL5 are generally considered NOT compatible.

Maybe Todd can jump in here with his thoughts?

These gearboxes are constant mesh. No synchronizers or yellow metal. BTW, Royal Purple GL5 is compatible with the yellow metal components. I use it in the rear drive of my Model T Ford.
