I have a 1200 8V Griso which has had a cracked display since I purchased several years ago
I just managed to purchase a secondhand complete instrument pod reasonable so after installing it asks for a code, I have tried service code 12425 but says "incorrect code"
I have also tried Brevia, Bellagio, Norge1200 & Stelvio 1200 codes to no avail.
It will not do anything obviously without recognising a correct code
does anyone know the next step ??
Regards;
Ray

Buying a dash without the user code being supplied strikes again. A used dash without the user code isn't a wise purchase. It will take more funds to correct. Send the dash to Carmo, perhaps with your keys. http://www.carmo.nl/ Contact them to see if they need them.

Why not just swap the panels over? I presume it's the LCD screen you speak of. It's not a hard job. This way the you retain the original micro processor of the the original dash. Most dash repairers could do it for you if you don't feel confident otherwise there are plenty of instructions here, with pics.

As John says, get in touch with Carmo.nl, they can copy all your settings from an old dash to a new one. The user code, diags code, key chip recognition and mileage, everything. They've just done mine on my Breva.

A dealer who helped me learn the dash function a couple of years ago, said the "key code" is the last 5 digits of your serial number.
If you can find the serial # of the donor bike (a wrecker maybe?), maybe that is a possibility??

I don't think so. Service codes are standard. User codes are set by an individual. Sometimes dealers don't have the correct information these days.
