Hello,
I am New to Moto Guzzis but have really been enjoying my 2012 Griso 8V SE.

Went to start it yesterday and it started rough and ran for 30 sec. then died. Displayed a code APMG 0023. If I wait some hours and turn the ignition back on it comes up normal. When I engage the start switch, it makes a loud click like the starter solenoid but then everything shuts down and the control panel goes blank - then after a minute or so it comes back in a kind of safe mode with "APMG 0023" again.

Could someone please tell me what this means or is my only recourse to take it into the shop. I have looked in the shop manual but did not find reference to a code like this.

Thanks,
Tom

sounds like a "marginal" battery. You can give it a charge and see if that improves, or just go out a buy a new battery - I recommend a Lithium, FWIW

Thanks, It was battery related. The terminals were merely corroded. The code APMG 0023 kind of threw me off a bit.
Cheers
